Dilute Calico - Kali - Medium - Adult - Female - Cat
Kali is the last of a group of mama cats and kittens that were dumped in the country and left to starve three years ago. There were four mamas and 12 babies. Over time we found homes for them but Kali was timid and shy and one of her beautiful eyes was always irritated so we didn't feel she was adoptable. About six months ago we moved her to another foster home, treated her eye with a special medication and waited to see how she responded. Her eye gradually got better (although sometimes she still has a little bit of matter in the corner) and Kali, herself, turned into a different kitty. She is now the most social of all the foster cats, loves to give hugs and be petted. She is especially fond of treats and does get a bit vocal when she thinks she is supposed to have one otherwise she is a very calm and quiet kitty. She gets along well with the foster dogs and with the other cats. She has been allowed to go outside where she is staying now but she is not streetwise and should not be allowed outside if she is living in town. Kali has turned into such a people kitty that she needs more attention than her foster mom can give her. She is up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for leukemia. She can be seen by appointment.
